Abstract

Breast cancer is a problem that, according to several authors, affects in a special way the psychosocial sphere of the sufferer. The previous thing supposes a high psychological trauma that usually face the women, against the oncological problem and the loss of the breasts. Therefore, the present literature review includes the documentation of research, articles, studies and others, with the main objective of knowing the experience and coping of women with breast cancer based on Callista Roy's theory of coping. A database search of several universities at a global, national and regional level was conducted during the period between 2013 and 2018, and, likewise, the scientific search platforms such as Redalyc, SciElo, Dialnet and Aquichan, where research, articles, studies and other scientific contributions were found to constitute a theoretical source that allowed to relate the model of coping and adaptation of Callista Roy with the ability to overcome in women with breast cancer.
