Abstract

Objective: To know nursing care in emergency patients through Jean Watson's theory of care. Method: A review of the scientific literature was carried out in different international databases, on articles and research published between 2013 and 2018. Results: Fifty studies were selected that refer to nursing care in emergency patients, finding that, on an international level, the perception of nursing care in the emergency area is favorable, however, in Colombia, the results were unfavorable. Conclusion: Humanized care, based on good communication, generates an environment of trust between nurse - patient, in which feelings, doubts, fears and emotions can be expressed, through a holistic treatment of the nurse, which should be provided at all times of care.
