Perception of the patient with hypertension against nursing care of the cardiovascular risk program

Abstract

Hypertension is a lethal disease that currently reveals high levels of prevalence worldwide, making it a public health problem. For the discipline, the present study denotes importance, since it allows knowing the perception that patients have regarding the care provided by the nursing professional, whose results can be a reference for further research. OBJECTIVE: To determine the perception of the patient with hypertension versus nursing care in the cardiovascular risk program at a first-level care institution in the city of Neiva during the second semester of 2018. MATERIALS AND METHOD: Quantitative research with descriptive approach, the sample consisted of 168 users of a first level IPS that met the selection criteria. The instrument used was the perception of humanized nursing care in its third version. RESULTS: 98.5% of patients perceived nursing care as excellent, obtaining the highest participation of women in 62.5%, users between 56 and 60 years with 52.5%, high school with 52.5% and the origin in a 86.3% are from the urban area CONCLUSIONS: The perception of patients with hypertension of the cardiovascular risk program versus nursing care is excellent since it stood out in the way the professional provides a humanized care using assertive communication and based on the relationship that is created between the nurse and the patient, encouraging active listening, thus generating feelings and emotions in the patient, allowing him to have a greater perception of the care provided by the professional.
