Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is one of the Chronic Noncommunicable Diseases that causes greater socio-sanitary impact and in the health economy, not only because of its high frequency but above all because of the consequences of the chronic complications it causes; among them, the important role it plays as a risk factor for atherosclerosis and cardiovascular pathology, expressed by López, Lahera and López-López in 2011. Methodology: A bibliographic review of descriptive studies on Burnout syndrome in nursing personnel was carried out, in databases MEDLINE, SCIELO and ELSEVIER. 40 articles were obtained, made between 2007 and 2017, among which 38 are Spanish and 2 are English. Conclusion: According to the articles investigated, on average, the adherence to treatment to Diabetes Mellitus is 50%, between 20% and 80% according to the treatment established. Non-adherence is related to personal, social, family factors, among others.
