Abstract

In Colombia, the issue of quality in health services was addressed for the first time at the beginning of the 70s. The World Health Organization defines some requirements that are necessary to achieve quality in health; within this is “a high level of professional excellence, an efficient use of resources, a minimum risk for the patient, a high degree of patient satisfaction, and the assessment of the final impact on Health. This article aims to raise awareness of important and relevant aspects in different areas on the level of satisfaction of hospitalized patients versus nursing care. A search was made of scientific articles from various databases, from which 49 descriptive articles published between 2010 and 2017 were obtained, taking as inclusion criteria only studies related to quality, nursing, independent of the service and the methodology used for its measurement. The satisfaction in health is to a large extent the reflection of the professionalism, care and emotional accompaniment of Nursing. Therefore, it is important that nursing professionals can contribute in the social, emotional and care aspects to contribute to the restoration of health in an earlier form.
