Ethical publication standards

The Fundación Universitaria Navarra - UNINAVARRA, undertakes to respect and comply with the principles, norms and ethical guidelines throughout the editorial process, in accordance with the guidelines published by the Ethics Committee for Publications (COPE).

In accordance with the foregoing, the Institution has established the following principles and responsibilities applicable to the entire review and publication process:

1. Guiding principles in publication processes

Authors, editors and evaluators will carry out their actions in accordance with the principles of intellectual honesty, integrity, respect for intellectual property and copyrights, transparency in conflicts of interest, impartiality and not discrimination.

2. Responsibility of the authors

  • Comply with the guidelines and instructions to the authors established by the Journal.
  • Guarantee that the manuscript that is submitted to the Journal is not in the process of publication or that it has not been accepted in another journal or that its author's patrimonial rights They have been transferred to a third party.
  • Ensure that the work you submit is original and respects the rules of intellectual property. The Journal does not allow self-plagiarism. Respect the copyrights of the people who made intellectual contributions in the conception, design and writing of the manuscript.
  • Guarantee that they have the authority to publish the work submitted to the Journal under their authorship.
  • Comply with the rules ethics and bioethics in research, informed consent and assent, when human beings participated in the development of the research or animal experiments were carried out.
  • Be responsible for the ideas expressed in the work that postulates the Journal, to the extent that these are the responsibility of its authors.
  • To fill out the originality and transfer of property rights of the author of the manuscript that is submitted to the Journal. The author agrees that the Journal may publish the work on paper, in electronic media, on the Journal's website and in bibliographic databases, at the Journal's discretion.
  • Inform the Journal Editorial in a timely manner of any error. significant in its publication and collaborate in the preparation of the respective faith of errata, addendum or removal of the article, as the case may be.

3. Responsibility of the Editors

  • Guarantee the quality, originality and usefulness of the contents of the Journal.
  • Act impartially, objectively and fairly. This implies that you must not discriminate authors or peer reviewers for their sexual orientation, religious beliefs, policies, gender, ethnicity, or origin.
  • Comply with the journal's editorial policy and regulations and with the manuscript review and evaluation process.
  • Follow the procedures established by the Editorial in cases of inappropriate conduct or complaints of an ethical nature or conflict of interest.
  • Communicate in a timely manner to the parties involved (authors or evaluators) the decisions adopted in the editorial process of the manuscript.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of documents and communications received

4. Responsibility of the Evaluators

  • Review the manuscripts impartially, respectfully and objectively, on the dates indicated by the Editor of the Journal; For which, they must fill out and submit the article evaluation form. The comments made by the evaluator should try to promote the quality of the manuscript.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of the documents and communications received.
  • Do not establish any type of communication with the author or authors of the manuscript.

5. Conflicts of interest

Editors, authors and evaluators undertake to promptly declare to the Editorial any conflict of interest (personal, political, commercial, academic or financial) that may arise in the editorial process.

6. Inappropriate Conducts

Inappropriate conduct that violates the ethics and principles of the CINA Research Journal - RCR, may be brought to the attention of the Editorial by any person, who must provide sufficient evidence to initiate a formal investigation. Investigations must be carried out respecting the parties' right to due process.
