Abstract

At present, the high standards of beauty of Western societies have created a growing tendency to perform different surgical procedures to highlight some traits or characteristics at their maximum body expression. However, these procedures are not free of complications and the most frequent in these surgical procedures are postoperative infections. Non-tuberculous mycobacterial infections have been described more frequently in recent years, especially in immunosuppressed patients and in patients who have undergone aesthetic procedures.
