Abstract

Adolescent pregnancy is a matter of great importance for public health, since in recent years it has presented an increase at the local, departmental and national levels. The problem of teenage pregnancies is determined by a set of social factors that directly and indirectly influence the quality of life of young women, their role in the family and in society, affecting the construction of their life project, the ignorance of inequities and the influence of it in the teenage pregnancy. This research describes the prevalence of adolescent pregnancies in the different departments of Colombia and manages to compile the 10 determinants that most influence pregnancy at an early age.
