Dengue is an emerging infectious disease with high prevalence in tropical and subtropical areas and a significant public health impact. The virus is transmitted mainly by Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquitoes. Although most cases are mild, severe dengue can lead to hemorrhage, shock, and death. We present the case of a 19-year-old female patient with confirmed dengue who presented with an episode of gastrointestinal tract hemorrhage characterized by frank hematemesis. Platelet transfusions, tranexamic acid and fluid management were performed and she progressively stabilized. This case underscores the importance of early identification and management of severe complications of dengue to reduce adverse outcomes.
