Actinomyces is a gram-positive bacterium, which can cause chronic granulomatous infections, the prevalence is not clear in developing countries, the clinical presentation can appear at any age, and the typical clinical manifestations are a chronic indolent granulomatous disease, of slow evolution. , which can infect multiple organs, one of the infrequent presentations is necrotizing fasciitis, and its causative agent is rarely Actinomyces neuii, which responds adequately to antibiotic management with beta-lactams and surgical intervention. The case of a 34-year-old woman is described, with symptoms of hot flushing and local pain in the gluteal region, was promptly diagnosed with necrotizing fasciitis with an LRINEC score of 8 points. She was taken to a surgical procedure, which described multiple abscesses in the region. gluteal, and areas of necrotizing fasciitis. The growth of Actynomices neuii in culture was reported, treatment with Cefalexin was indicated, and clinical follow-up. Timely identification for timely diagnosis and treatment in order to avoid secondary clinical and aesthetic sequelae.
